Trump Says He’s Considering Attending Russia Victory Day Celebrations After Putin Extended An Invitation

He can't be serious!

Donald Trump, a five-time draft dodger, plans to kick off the New York City Veterans Day Parade next week. We can only assume that he won’t be marching and will likely ride along in a golf cart.

But another odd thing about Trump observing something so American is that he is also considering attending Russia’s May 9 Victory Day commemorative events after President Vladimir Putin extended an invitation. Trump is always all over the map but he’s been consistent with his loyalty to his handler in Russia.

“I appreciate the invitation. It is right in the middle of [the] political season, so I’ll see if I can do it, but I would love to go if I could,” Trump told reporters before departing the White House for campaign-related events, Reuters reports.

Trump’s loyalty doesn’t seem to be with the U.S. sometimes.

Trump called it “a very big deal celebrating the end of the war.”

Last year while Trump was in Helsinki, he backed Putin over U.S. intelligence agencies in a jaw-dropping speech. Nothing says “America First” like putting Russia First, right?

“[Putin] just said it’s not Russia,” Trump said, of charges Russia had meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. “I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be.”

After a swift backlash, Trump tried to backpedal his remarks via Twitter.

Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris took a swipe at Trump over the news.

Trump has had ample opportunity to stand up to Russia’s dictator to defend the U.S. but he’s just not capable of that. Whoever flatters the U.S. “president” can easily manipulate him. Please, Mr. “President,” Sir, try not to give away our country’s secrets while you’re there, thankyouverymuch.
