We’ve all been made fun of by our friends for dumb mistakes we’ve made, right? I mean, I remember this one time in high school, I did this thing with my hair where I — well, never mind all that, the point is, it’s happened to the best of us, and if we can’t get over it, it’s kind of our own fault, since we’re the one that screwed up.
Okay, now imagine the person making fun of you isn’t your friend at all but just someone who heard about the bonehead thing you did and thought it was hilarious. Oh, and they’re famous. Like, the most famous athlete in the world right now.
Got it? Are you imagining what it would be like to be ridiculed by the biggest name in football, publicly, over an incredibly stupid mistake you made that even a fifth-grader wouldn’t have made? Good, now imagine what Trump is going to do when he sees this, before the Kansas City Chiefs are even officially invited to the White House after their incredible win in Super Bowl LIV:

That’s the 24-year-old Patrick Mahomes, the record-shattering youngest NFL quarterback ever to win the prestigious Super Bowl MVP Award, and his girlfriend since 10th grade Brittany Matthews, with Mahomes wearing a t-shirt featuring an outline of the shape of Missouri, but the words “The Great State Of Kansas” emblazoned across it.
No one will ever forget when Trump sent out a congratulatory tweet to the Chiefs after their victory, only to label them as coming from Kansas, rather than Missouri, where their stadium is located and where the Kansas City that everyone is talking about every time they say the name of the city is located:
Trump is going to be furious, and more furious still at how clearly happy with his joke Mahomes is in that picture. The president has already been trolled by the entire internet and even the Kansas City Police Department over his idiotic blunder, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he elected not to invite the team to the White House at all.
That would be just fine with Chiefs fans, I believe.
