Giuliani Has Complete Breakdown Over Mueller Investigation On Live Television, Screams “Truth Isn’t Truth!” At NBC Host

Even the President's own lawyer has no idea what truth is anymore.

Rudy Giuliani is, without any qualifiers attached to the statement, the worst lawyer in the universe. I’m not a legal scholar, of course, nor is anyone on the staff at Political Tribune, and we are in no way entitled to make such a statement. But after watching Rudy accidentally change the official White House story on any number of issues by accidentally admitting his client — the President — did the things that everyone had been so carefully saying he did not do, it’s hard not to conclude that’s the truth.

For example, although Trump already admitted on social media that the now-infamous Trump Tower meeting was, in fact, held for the purpose of obtaining compromising information on Hillary Clinton, Rudy made it official on Meet the Press Sunday morning, telling host Chuck Todd,

That was the original intention of the meeting … All they knew that a woman with a Russian name was going to meet with them, they didn’t know she represented the Russian government.”

Of course, as the public is aware at this point, the email from publicist Rob Goldstone to Donald Trump Jr. that got the wheels turning on holding the meeting in the first place specifically said that it would be “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.” So first Rudy admitted a long-standing lie was a lie, then lied again on top of that admission.

Confused yet? Rudy is!

Again, I don’t really have a way to back up the statement that Rudy is confused, except to point at the rest of what can only be called a truly “batshit crazy” interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd.

When Rudy began complaining to the host that Robert Mueller was taking too long to wrap up the investigation — a laughable concept in and of itself, given the unprecedented length of investigations into prior presidents and presidential candidates that were much longer, despite producing no results — an incredulous Chuck asked him why their strategy doesn’t simply pivot to sitting Trump down with Mueller for an interview. That would arguably be the fastest way, of course, to get to the end of the process.

What I have to tell you is, look, I am not going to be rushed into having him testify so that he gets trapped into perjury. When you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he is going to tell the truth and he shouldn’t worry, well that’s so silly because it’s somebody’s version of the truth. Not the truth.”

“Truth is truth,” Chuck said, as his head dropped into his hands. “Truth is a truth, Mr. Mayor. This is going to become a bad meme.”

Rudy wasn’t quite done blowing Chuck’s mind:

TODD: Is it possible he makes a conclusion based on who’s been more truthful over the years?

GIULIANI: (after a long pause) It’s possible he can do that … But no, you can’t bring into question prior conduct.”
