Fox News Host Known For Not Washing His Hands Seems To Urge Viewers To Go About Their Daily Lives Without Fear Of The Virus

He's a sick man in more ways than one.

Fox News host Pete Hegseth, who proudly says he doesn’t wash his hands because he doesn’t think germs are real, urged people to get themselves infected with the coronavirus and claimed health experts are lying to the public.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly downplayed the threat of the virus while saying that Americans must be willing to sacrifice their lives like “warriors” for the sake of the economy. And while Hegseth did not appreciate the “warrior” rhetoric, he agreed that the country needs to be reopened early because he says the experts are wrong about the pandemic.

“I don’t love the ‘warrior’ talk, but I do think you are going to need that kind of ethos and that spirit to put freedom before fear,” Hegseth said. “Listen, there’s a lot of anxiety, a lot of misinformation. The experts have been telling us, hundreds of thousands of people are going to die.”

He then promoted herd immunity and encouraged people to purposely risk contracting the virus — even though herd immunity doesn’t work in the case of this virus because it can be contracted over and over again.

“Now that we are learning more, herd immunity is our friend,” Hegseth insisted. “Healthy people getting out there are going to have to have some courage. We’ve seen courage, we’ll talk about it later, in Texas, where people are defying ridiculous orders. That takes courage, that’s not easy. So I think that spirit, too, it’s American spirit, frankly, is in full supply and ready to go. If some of our experts and some of our leaders would just get out of their way, they are drunk on power. It’s time to open up. That’s my sense.”

Here’s the video:

Actually, it’s American stupidity. More than 70,000 Americans have already died from this virus in two and a half months. The death toll will soar past 100,000 soon as states open up and infection rates skyrocket, which we are already seeing in Georgia, Texas, and elsewhere.

Unfortunately, Fox News viewers will likely listen to quacks like Hegseth and get themselves infected. And they’ll only realize their stupidity when they are struggling to breathe on a ventilator or their loved ones have died.
