Former OSU Wrestler Claims Jim Jordan Tearfully Begged For His Help To Cover Up Abuse Scandal

Looks like Trump's crimes aren't the only thing Jordan has desperately tried to cover up recently.

A former wrestling team captain for Ohio State University testified during a hearing on Tuesday that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) called him up repeatedly to beg him to help him cover up the sex abuse scandal that has plagued him and the school.

An investigation has found that former team doctor Richard Strauss abused at least 177 young men over two decades, including from 1987 to 1995 when Jordan worked at the school as an assistant coach.

Multiple former wrestlers have accused Jordan of knowing about the abuse and doing nothing to stop it. Jordan has denied having any such knowledge, but it’s hard to believe his denial when he worked with Strauss for eight years.

Now the Ohio legislature is considering legislation that would give abuse victims the ability to sue the university.

That’s why the Ohio House Civil Justice Committee heard testimony in favor of the bill on Tuesday from Adam DiSabato, a captain of the Ohio State wrestling team during Jordan’s tenure.

In his testimony, DiSabato claimed that Jordan contacted him after his brother Michael DiSabato made accusations against him, hoping to turn Adam against his own brother.

“Jim Jordan called me crying, groveling… begging me to go against my brother,” DiSabato told the committee. “That’s the kind of cover-up that’s going on there.

When asked about Jordan’s denials, DiSabato called him a “liar.”

“He’s throwing us under the bus, all of us,” he said. “He’s a coward.”

DiSabato then put pressure on the lawmakers to pass the bill.

“Are you guys going to do what you’re voted to do?” he asked. “That’s the only reason I’m here.”

This really does not look good for Jordan. This scandal has been following him around for a while now and his effort to help President Donald Trump cover up his own illegal activities strongly suggests he would certainly engage in a cover-up to hide his own misconduct. Jordan certainly won’t resign, and that means it will be up to the voters to do the right thing by firing him in November.
