I know that this pandemic has been hard on you, dear reader. While I have been fortunate enough to be quarantined with my beautiful and patient wife in a state where the governor has actually been handling all of this pretty admirably, I know that many or even most of you may not have as much opportunity to be grateful as I do during what’s turned out to be the worst crisis in a century.
And unfortunately, America isn’t just dealing with a disease of the respiratory and immune systems.
The real problem isn’t one we’re just waiting on a vaccine for, it’s Donald Trump himself. Everything he does and says and even thinks about turns out to be a disaster for everyone in the country except occasionally the super-rich and some of his friends and associates.
Honestly, I would be surprised if you personally, you reading this right now, haven’t spent a few minutes reflecting on how harmful Trump is to the past, present, and future of America, and the tremendous heartache he has caused you specifically — whether it’s from lousy policies, arguments with family members who actually support him, or just a fear of what may be coming next. Believe me, I can identify with you, brothers and sisters and cousins. I spend my days distilling the news into articles that hopefully won’t send you over the edge, but will let you know what tragedy he’s currently ignoring, what crisis he’s failing to address, and what debacles he’s making worse.
That’s why, when I saw this clip of CNN host Don Lemon, it gave me a little ray of sunshine — a glimpse of the connectivity between those of us who are near despair over the utter disaster of an administration that has been the Trump presidency thus far.

It’s a tough question, but fair: How much longer IS this going to go on?
